NFL Mock Draft Version 3

NFL Mock Draft  1) DETROIT LIONS> MATTHEW STAFFORD, QB, GEORGIAРWith Sam Bradford returning to Oklahoma for another season, Stafford holds on to the top selection. Sanchez has closed the gap between him and Stafford, but I still think that Stafford is the better selection. Stafford has a stronger arm and he has greatly improved his decision making this season. Sanchez is more of a project, he has significant injury issues, and he tends to make the stupid decisions that Stafford would make last year. 2) ST. LOUIS RAMS> ANDRE SMITH, OT, ALABAMA-  I don’t see any reason to change this pick as a result of Smith’s issues at Alabama. They don’t seem like the kind of behavioral issues that would

NFL Mock Draft Version 1

Our first NFL Mock is now available. We will be doing 2-3 mock drafts per month leading up until the NFL Draft in April. (Photo courtesy of SD Dirk) 1. DETROIT LIONS, MATTHEW STAFFORD, QB, GEORGIA (6-2 235 lbs) РI really do not believe that either Stafford or Bradford is worthy of the top selection in this year’s draft, but the Lions need at the position is probably going to force them into the selection. Stafford has the big arm and is probably the safer pick at this point. With that said, both Bradford and Stafford are not definitely entering the draft. If (and I don’t see this happening) both Stafford and Bradford remain in school for another season there is not

AFC North Report

AFC North Rumors and News The Pittsburgh Steelers go into the this Sunday‚Äôs game healthier than they have been for a while. Bengals President backs Marvin Lewis Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvel Lewish could be back next season despite a 1-10-1 season. Yesterday Bengals president Mike Brown asked if coach Marvin Lewis will get a chance to overcome this 1-10-1 season: “You cannot answer that question without undercutting someone. I am not going down that path. I think in many ways he

NFL: Crennel and Savage on the hot seat

Browns coach Romeo Crennel and General Manager Phil Savage both could be on the hot seat, but changes probably won’t be made until after the season, a source close to the situation told the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Both could lose their jobs – or both could keep them according to the paper. Crennel could go, and Savage could stay. Their seats both got hotter with Sunday’s 16-6 loss to the Texans and rumors are swirling that the benching of quarterback Brady Quinn did not sit well with ownership. If Crennel is fired, the Browns are expected to make a strong pitch to lure former Steelers head coach Bill Cowher to Cleveland. It remains to be seen whether that pursuit has

NFL: Winslow shopped at the trade deadline?

Cleveland Browns tight end Kellen Winslow could be traded in the off-season. Winslow who is one of the games most talented tight ends was dangled at the trade deadline. The Browns will likely seek a 1st round pick in return for Winslow but due to his contract demands and the need to restock their system with draft picks, the Browns could look for a scenario that could net them multiple picks instead of being set on receiving a 1st rounder for Winslow. Week 4 Recap

Cleveland 20 – Cincinnati 12 There was disarray on the Browns sidelines and Derek Anderson was not very good but he saved his job for at least one more week. The one bright spot for the Bengals is the play of 1st round pick Keith Rivers Tampa Bay 30 – Green Bay 21 Emotional game for Buccaneers kicker Matt Bryant who had to bury his infant child on Saturday. What a great performance by Bryant (3 Field Goals) under the circumstances. Hard to put this in perspective. It was great to see the Buccaneers being able to honor Bryant’s son with a Win. Kansas City 33 – Denver 19 Biggest upset of the day. Denver (3-1) has major issues on
