Players to watch this week 1.Nicklas Backstrom is off to a slow start with only one assist in six games. Backstrom is now paired with Alexander Semin (6 goals this season). Expect Backstrom to breakout this week. I’m in five different fantasy hockey leagues and once Miroslav Satan was moved to the third line last week, Satan was dropped in three out of the five leagues. Should you pick up Nate Washington? Steelers WR Nate Washington caught a career-high six passes for 94 yards and a score Sunday night in Jacksonville. The Steelers will have games where they will throw the ball 35-40 times but Washington is nothing more than a 4th or 5th receiver regarding fantasy value Hines Ward had a strong game catching seven passes for 90 yards and a score. Ward is a nice receiver to have as your #3 option but he’s a risk as a #2. Mewelde Moore’s value goes down with Willie Parker returning next week but hold onto him for at least another two weeks to see how the carries play out Broncos WR Eddie Royals stock has plummeted
Fantasy Football: What Steelers to play this week
1. QB Ben Roethlisberger ‚Äì NFL.com’s Adam Schefter reports that Ben Roethlisberger (questionable, shoulder) will “try to play” Sunday in Jacksonville. I wouldn‚Äôt look too much into that report. The Steelers are going to throw early and often tonight. Start Ben 2. Santonio Holmes ‚Äì the no-huddle offense will benefit Holmes. The Steelers ran formations in practice where Holmes was the primary target on quick slants and outs. Holmes will also see some time in the punt return game.
