Pitt University Hockey home opener proceeds to benefit Mario Lemieux Foundation

Pitt vs. Youngstown State Friday, October 10, 2008 at 8:50 pm BladeRunners Ice Complex‚ÄîHarmarville The Pitt Men’s Ice Hockey program will be donating all proceeds from its home opener vs. Youngstown State University to the Mario Lemieux Foundation in the memory of former staff member Lauren Ruud. Lauren was a dedicated game staff member during the 2007-2008 season prior to losing a courageous battle with lymphoma. This game will be played in her honor. In addition, Pitt players will be wearing green ribbon stickers in memory of Lauren on their helmets this season. The Mario Lemieux Foundation will be providing autographed items to be included in a raffle. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Mario Lemieux

California University Hockey game proceeds to benefit Mario Lemieux Foundation

Cal U vs. Washington & Jefferson College Friday, October 3rd at 9:00 pm BladeRunners Ice Complex—Bethel Park, PA Mario Lemieux Foundation has donated autographed memorabilia to be sold at the game. The Cal U Men’s Ice Hockey-Cal I Team will be donating 50% of their admissions proceeds on Friday, October 3 to the Mario Lemieux Foundation in the memory of former University of Pittsburgh Hockey staff member Lauren Ruud who lost her battle with lymphoma.
