This was a pivotal win for the coaching staff that has had trouble winning big games on the road since last year. Moore scores 3 TD’s, Steelers beat Bengals 38-10

 

The Pittsburgh Steelers won their 8 consecutive game in Cincinnati today beating the Cincinnati Bengals 38-10. The Steelers dominated the Bengals in all facets of the game, out gaining the Bengals 375 ‚Äì 212. Ben Roethlisberger had another strong performance going 17/28 216 yds ‚Äì 2TD‚Äôs. Roethlisberger hit Mewelde Moore for a two yard touchdown pass in the 1st quarter and Roethlisberger put the game away when he connected with Nate Washington for a 50 yard touchdown pass to put the Steelers up 24-10 in the fourth quarter. Roethlisberger wasn‚Äôt the only Steelers standout today as running back Mewelde Moore scored three touchdowns and ran for 120 yards on 20 carries. The Steelers returned to practice today after being off since Thursday. Willie Parker, Brett Keisel, Jeff Reed and Marvel Smith are expected to play Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer will be sidelined for another week. Despite Willie Parker returning to the lineup this week, the Steelers plan to give Mewelde Moore close to ten touches (not including punt returns) Tuesday is the NFL’s trade deadline and the Steelers are listening to offers for Max Starks but as of this afternoon they haven’t received one call about the availability of Starks

Roethlisberger throws 3 TD’s to lead Steelers to 26-21 Win

 

The Pittsburgh Steelers outgained the Jacksonville Jaguars 415 ‚Äì 213 but they needed a late 4th quarter drive to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 26-21 and improve to 4-1 on the season. Ben Roethlisberger was phenomenal throwing for 309 yards and 3 touchdowns. Late in the fourth quarter Roethlisberger led the Steelers on a 11 play ‚Äì 80 yard drive and hit Hines Ward on a 8 yard fade pass to put the Steelers up by 5 with 1:53 remaining. Roethlisberger misfired on the 2-point conversion, but Pittsburgh’s defense sealed the win as the Jaguars turned the ball over on downs.
