Penguins fall to Lightning 5-4

 

The Tampa Bay Lighting came into Pittsburgh with a minor league roster and defeated Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-4. Petr Sykora tied the game at 3-3 midway through the third period and Sidney Crosby put the Penguins up 4-3 late in the third period. Practice Session Report: Day 2

 

In-depth Analysis of the 1st session The first set of drills centered around some puck moving drills which went into 2-on-1’s with shots from the point. The skating ability of Ruslan Fedotenko was exceptional today. Fedotenko has started out camp on a line with Max Talbot and Matt Cooke. Fedotenko playing in a third line role is a perfect fit for him. Crosby was flying from the start. You could really tell he was working on his shot during the summer. He went hard in every drill.
