The team has a busy week before a week long break in between games following a New Years eve afternoon tilt with the New Jersey Devils. NHL: Selanne signs 2yr -$5.25 million contract


The Anaheim Ducks have signed Teemu Selanne to a two year deal. Selanne entered training camp on a tryout contract until the Ducks could trade defenseman Mathieu Schneider to clear salary cap room. Forward Teemu Selanne is looking for a two year deal from the Anaheim Ducks. Selanne has been invited to camp on a tryout basis until the Ducks move enough salary. Andy Strickland reports the Ducks are close to trading Mathieu Schneider to the LA Kings. The Ducks have also been trying to gauge trade interest in forward Todd Marchant.
