Zach Sill dominant in faceoff circle for second straight game

Centerman Zach Sill is making his presence felt in the faceoff circle and from a physical standpoint. Sill was 13 of 17 (76%) on draws vs the Columbus Blue Jackets Saturday night, and an excellent 3 of 4 in offensive zone draws and 7 of 8 in defensive zones draws. Sill was the Penguins only centerman to have success against Columbus. Brandon Sutter was 5-11 (45%), Dustin Jeffrey 3-10 (30%). Sill is 12 of 13 in defensive zone draws over his last two games. Sill was 82% (9/11) vs the Hawks on Thursday.

Zach Sill credited with 6 hits and 9 of 11 in faceoff circle vs Blackhawks

Centerman Zach Sill made his mark in the faceoff circle Thursday night vs the Chicago Blackhawks. Sill was 82% (9/11) on draws and very strong in defensive zone draws, going 5-for-5. Sill was 3-for-3 in draws against NHL regular Markus Kruger. Sill who scouts feel could play in the NHL, is not much of a candidate to win a roster spot out of camp due to the numbers game. Sill played a very physical game vs the Hawks and was credited with 6 hits.
