Rockies starter Kyle Freeland threw seven shutout innings as Freeland and the bullpen combined on a two-hitter in leading the Rockies (60-52) to a 2-0 win over the Pirates (58-57) on Monday night.

Pittsburgh’s losing streak hits three games as the Pirates are in danger of falling to .500 with a loss on Tuesday. Jameson Taillon will try to stop the skid.

Corey Dickerson (1-4) and Joe Musgrove (1-2) were the lone Pirates to record hits in the loss. On the mound Musgrove was solid in allowing 4 hits and 1 earned run in seven innings.

The Pirates enter Tuesday 5.5 games out of a wildcard spot.
