Steelers cornerback William Gay has agreed to sign with the Arizona Cardinals. The Steelers 5th round pick in 2007, Gay had also been weighing an offer from the Tennessee Titans, in addition to being in talks with the Steelers about a possible return.
Returning to the Steelers though had been considered a longshot from the start as the team has young options at corner in Cortez Allen, Keenan Lewis and 2011 3rd pick Curtis Brown as an option in a nickle back role.
Keenan Lewis and Cortez Allen are expected to battle for a starting spot opposite Ike Taylor.
Gay, 27, made $735,000 last season.
