Sidney Crosby (20, 21), Evgeni Malkin (13) scored against their pal Marc Andre Fleury in a Penguins 3-1 win over the Minnesota Wild on Sunday afternoon. Malkin opened the scoring for the Penguins with a power play marker in tight at 15:22 of the second, while Crosby hitting the 20-goal plateau for the 17th time in his career would push the Penguins lead to 2-0 near the mid-way mark of the third. Crosby would add his second of the game on an empty netter with 1:13 remaining to seal a Penguins win.

The story of the game for the Penguins, though, was the play of Tristan Jarry. Jarry was excellent with his most dominant performance of the season in making 30 saves. Jarry was calm and collected on high-danger chances and positionally it’s the best we’ve seen him in a while. Jarry’s shutout opportunity was broke with 5:06 remaining in the third off a 4-on-1 goal as the Wild cut the Penguins lead to 2-1. In unlikely Penguins fashion, Jarry and the Penguins would shut the door to snap a four-game losing streak.
Pittsburgh was outshot 31-23 and outattempted 75-49 in the win.
