Dallas Cowboys cornerback Sterling Moore (5-10, 202) is scheduled to fly into Pittsburgh this evening and visit with team officials, Josina Anderson of ESPN Reports.
Moore appeared in 16 games for the Cowboys in 2014, starting 7 games, playing a nickleback role. He had 46 tackles, 12 pass defensed and 1 forced fumble. In his career, Moore has 80 tackles and 3 interceptions. He was an undrafted free agent and signed by the Patriots in 2011 where he played sparingly for 1 1/2 seasons before joining the Cowboys the last 2 1/2 seasons. He made $645,000 last season and is a typical buy-low candidate the Steelers would look at.
Moore was the 22nd ranked cornerback by ProFootballFocus in 2014.
The Steelers have also continued their visit with Patrick Robinson this morning who they really like but no deal was close to being struck as of an hour ago, a source said. Robinson has two others visits planned.
