PITTSBURGH — The national media has flocked to Pittsburgh once again this week in anticipation that Sidney Crosby might return Tuesday night at home vs the Colorado Avalanche. However, there isn’t a lot buzz going around that he will play tomorrow night
In the early stages of today’s practice, Crosby has replaced Steve Sullivan (lower body) on the top line and is centering James Neal and Evgeni Malkin. Malkin who saw some time on left wing in the third period of Saturday’s loss, is skating on the left side in today’s practice with Neal on the right side
Update: as practice is progressing, Crosby is always taking reps on left side
The rest of the lines round out with Kunitz – Staal – Dupuis, Cooke – Park – Asham, Tangradi – Vitale – Adams. Tyler Kennedy is working in as an extra. Sullivan is not on the ice as the team will be cautious with him. More to come after practice
