The Pittsburgh Steelers have likely lost fullback/tight end David Johnson for the season. Head coach Mike Tomlin confirmed after the Steelers 24-23 loss to Philadelphia that Johnson suffered a “severe knee injury” and will be further evaluated. On the Steelers first series, right tackle Marcus Gilbert fell on Johnson’s leg.
Meanwhile, left tackle Mike Adams who struggled mightily and was beaten twice for sacks, suffered a “less significant” knee injury than Johnson’s, according to Tomlin, and running back Jonathan Dwyer suffered a mild shoulder injury that Tomlin called an Ac Sprain.
