NFL teams are mostly known for making draft prospects feel very uncomfortable during interviews.
Apparently some NHL teams follow the same script.
In an interview with TSN.CA on Friday, top defenseman prospect Cam Fowler admitted that an NHL team asked him one of those type of questions.
The question posed to Fowler was “If North Korea invaded your hometown, which family member would you leave behind?”
Fowler did not reveal the team on TSN or which family member he would leave behind. However, Fowler has told others the team that posed the question.
Chris Botta of NHL Fanhouse mentions on twitter that Fowler told him at the Stanley Cup Final that the Pittsburgh Penguins were the team which asked the North Korea question.
An agent who is advising a forward that the Penguins interviewed in Toronto at the combine told me that to his knowledge the Penguins never posed that question to his client.
