The Pittsburgh Steelers draft board at the quarterback position remains an intense discussion point at team headquarters. Among the belief is a rarity of no universal agreement on who are the Top-3 quarterbacks in this draft.

Whispers are the higher ups really like Jaxson Dart as a safe pick, particularly [hide] GM Omar Khan[/hide], while some scouts in the organization don’t paint a pretty picture on Dart and believe he’s Kenny Pickett 2.0; Meanwhile, the Steelers are not alone in having a first-round grade on Jalen Milroe who in the last couple months has gained significant support in the organization where he is in play at #21 or a trade back to later in the first round. Steelers officials believe Milroe doesn’t get past the first couple picks in the second round.

Then there’s the Shedeur Sanders factor. He’s not going in the Top-3 and some belief the Saints could take Jaxson Dart over Sanders at #9 which could lead to a free fall for Sanders.

Is there also a scenario where Sanders, Dart and Milroe are all on the board at #21, prompting a great track back opportunity? Or do the Steelers really feel one of these guys is the future?

One prominent scout in the Steelers organization who is highly regarded and respected throughout, has Sanders as the [hide] 4th [/hide] rated player on his board and believes Will Howard and Sanders are a toss-up in that there is much higher value in grabbing Howard in the second or third as a trade up then taking the risk of any other QB in the first-round. Yet, multiple conversations between Deion Sanders and [hide] Mike Tomlin of late has prompted a suspicion in team circles that Sanders potential star power makes him the only QB Tomlin would sign off on at [/hide] #21 [hide]even with the concerns those around him have of the ceiling. The rumor mill is also spreading like fire that Aaron Rodgers super-agent David Dunn has been advised the Steelers plan to invest into this year’s team in Round 1 to take a run at things and is under the belief Sanders is the only QB they would consider taking in Round 1. Pittsburgh taking a QB will have no bearing on Rodgers decision. [/hide]
