For a receiver who’s pretty much just another guy, Emmanuel Sanders is getting a pretty good payday from the Denver Broncos.
Sanders has received a 3 year, $15 million deal from the Broncos with $3 million in incentives that could push the max total of the deal to $18 million. He is being look at as the Broncos No. 2 receiver in 2014.
In 2013 Sanders set career highs in receptions (67), receiving yards (740) and touchdowns (six) in 2013, but for anyone who has watched Sanders closely knows, he leaves you wanting more from him and lacks tough, clutch catches.
Sanders, though, could be a very good fit in the Broncos quick passing game. Despite his 4.45 speed, Sanders has never been an efficient pass catcher on deep balls. On passes that averaged 20 yards or more through the air, Sanders had just 5 receptions in 2013.
