The Denver Broncos are expected to sign Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders this weekend, ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reports.
Sanders had drawn interest from up to six teams and visited the Jaguars, Bucs, Chiefs and 49ers this week.
While Sanders never officially visited Denver, Word in NFL circles at the NFL combine was that the Broncos had strong interest in Sanders.
Terms of the deal are unknown. Word yesterday was that Sanders had been seeking $5-$6 million per season on a multi-year deal. One Steelers official predicted Thursday Sanders would get around $3.5 million on the open market. The Steelers maintained contact with the Sanders camp but were not willing to offer Sanders much more than what he made last year, $2.5 million.
