Penguins lead series, 1-0
While the Pittsburgh Penguins will be without Jordan Staal for game 2, Tyler Kennedy and Jordan Leopold are under serious consideration to return to the lineup.
Both are participating in the pre-game skate and appear in.
Leopold has missed five straight games due to a concussion and Kennedy has been sidelined for the past three games due to a knee injury.
Leopold was cleared for contact on Saturday and was paired with Alex Goligoski in Saturday’s practice and today’s pre-game skate. Kennedy showed much improvement in Saturday’s practice.
Mark Letestu is also participating in warmups skating on the fourth line as the extra forward while Ruslan Fedotenko took line rushes with the second line.
Updated: 2:08 p.m. Tyler Kennedy is back in the lineup along with Jordan Leopold. Defenseman Jay McKee will be scratched for the first time in five games.
Max Talbot will center the third line.
