Broncos 23 – Steelers 16
The Denver Broncos scored 14 unanswered points in the second half, defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers 23-16 to advance to the AFC Championship Game.
The game turned for the Steelers in the fourth quarter while holding a 13-12 lead and driving when RB Fitzgerald Toussaint fumbled inside Broncos territory (31 yard line) on a hit by Bradley Roby and DeMarcus Ware recovered.
The Broncos then went 13 plays, 65 yards and C.J. Anderson scored from 1 yard out and Demaryius Thomas got the 2-point conversion to give the Broncos a 20-13 lead with 3 minutes left in the fourth quarter.
There would be no late Ben Roethlisberger magic as the Steelers would turn the ball over on downs at their own 30 yard line. Brandon McManus then added a 45 yard field goal with 53 seconds left. McManus made five field goals in the win.
Chris Boswell’s 47 yard field goal got the Steelers within seven with 19 seconds left.
