Cory Schneider’s 21 save shutout vs the Penguins tonight will likely be one of the easiest shutouts he’ll ever have in his NHL career. The listless Penguins barely tested Schneider in a 4-0 loss to the Devils on Saturday night. The Penguins were beaten all over the ice in all facets in what was an embarrassing display.
New Jersey outshot Pittsburgh 37-21 and out-attempted the Penguins 60-35. Former Penguins Bobby Farnham (2) and Lee Stempniak (4) each scored for New Jersey.
Pascal Dupuis (-3), Beau Bennett (-3) and Sidney Crosby (-2) were a combined minus-8 in the loss.
Jeff Zatkoff made 33 saves in the loss.
