The Pittsburgh Penguins officially trimmed down their training camp roster to 31 this afternoon.

Notable fringe players who survived the latest round of cuts include Jake Guentzel, Carter Rowney, and Derrick Pouliot.

Players assigned to WBS include: goaltenders Casey DeSmith and Leland Irving; defensemen Cameron Gaunce, Chad Ruhwedel, Tim Erixon, Ethan Prow, Stuart Percy, Reid McNeill, Steve Oleksy; and forwards Dominik Simon, Josh Archibald, J.S. Dea, Ryan Haggerty, Oskar Sundqvist, Adam Krause, Sahir Gill, Garrett Wilson.
 
According to the Penguins, Erixon, Percy, Gaunce, McNeill, Oleksy, Ruhwedel and Wilson all have to clear waivers on Tuesday at noon before they can join WBS.
