Josh Harrison has been named to the NL All-Star team.
It will be his second career appearance.
The two-time All-Star is hitting .288 with 9 home runs, 27 RBI, 16 doubles, 2 triples and a .368 OBP on the season. He leads the Majors with 18 HBP’s.
Harrison who has been the Pirates most consistent player this season will be the clubs lone representative.
One potential snub for the Pirates was closer Felipe Rivero.
Cubs manager Joe Maddon last month said there wasn’t five better closers in the Majors than Rivero. Yet, Maddon picked five closers ahead of Rivero.
