Former Penguins netminder Matt Murray has blocked a trade to the Buffalo Sabres, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reports. Friedman says the Senators and Sabres were in deep discussions but Murray stuck to his no trade list and blocked the deal. Murray has 2 years remaining with a $6.25 million cap hit and is owed $15 million over the next two seasons.
