There is growing momentum the Steelers have all intentions of awarding head coach Mike Tomlin with a contract extension this off-season. Tomlin with two years left on his contract and making around $7.5 million per season, is in line to become the NFL’s next $8 million a year coach. The vibe in Steelers circles is a bigger story will be Tomlin not getting a two year extension than him receiving one. The Post-Gazette’s Ed Bouchette echoed that sentiment today when appearing on the Cook and Joe show (937 The Fan).
“I think so,” Bouchette said of Tomlin getting an extension. “I think he’s going to get a contract extension.”
