The 37 year old had 18 goals and 42 points last season for the Predators.
The Predators already one of the deepest teams down the middle with Ryan Johansen, Kyle Turris and Nick Bonino, have talked about using Bonino on the wing in the past. That could happen now.
Bonino signed a 4 year, $16 million with the Predators on July 1 and one of the selling pitches from the Predators to Bonino and his agent Petr Fish is that Bonino was looked at as the long-term replacement for Fisher.
Bonino has 7 goals and 12 points in 37 games this season.
