Penguins center Nick Bonino (foot) did not practice Friday and is officially a game time decision for Game 3.

Bonino, though, is considered unlikely to play Saturday night and a final determination on his status will likely be made Saturday morning than close to game time.

Bonino suffered a left foot injury when blocking a shot in Game 2. Bonino is said to not have a broken foot but has a lot of swelling that prompted doctors to put him in a walking boot and on crutches for 48 hours or so to try to accelerate the recovery, per a source.

Penguin coaches plan to move Carter Rowney to the third line center spot if Bonino is not able to give it a go.

Carl Hagelin has been told he will return to the lineup if Bonino can’t play.
