The Pittsburgh Penguins announced this morning the team is bringing in forward Jesse Puljujarvi on a free agent tryout. The 4th overall pick in the 2016 draft, Puljujarvi had 5 goals and 11 assists in 75 games last season (Edmonton Oilers/Carolina Hurricanes). Puljujarvi posted a career-high 36 points in 2021-2022 with the Oilers and has 51 goals and 113 points in 334 career NHL games. Puljujarvi underwent double hip surgery this past summer and was not qualified by the Carolina Hurricanes.
