Penguins move into second place with 4th straight win

A convincing Penguins 5-2 win over the Nashville Predators and a New York Rangers 4-3 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes Thursday night has moved the Pittsburgh Penguins into second place in the Metropolitan Division with eight days remaining in the regular season.

Owning the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Rangers, Pittsburgh controls their destiny to clinch home-ice for the first round.
