The Pittsburgh Pirates have acquired 40 year old reliever Joaquin Benoit and cash from the Philadelphia Phillies.
The Pirates will send Seth McGarry to Philadelphia in the trade.
Benoit has a 4.07 ERA in 42 innings pitched.
