The Pittsburgh Pirates headed towards a second straight losing season, have rewarded Clint Hurdle with a four year extension. The deal will keep him under contract through the 2021 season.

The stunner isn’t Hurdle getting an extension but the length.

It’s the largest commitment the Pirates have given Hurdle since he became manager in 2011.
