Penguins GM Jim Rutherford at the conclusion of Round 1 called a trade of Evgeni Malkin or Kris Letang unlikely.

“I’m prepared to say it’s highly unlikely,” said Rutherford via Jonathan Bombulie of the Tribune-Review.

No trades were made in Round 1 involving players.

“Still got a ways to go, but the draft was so strong nobody wanted to move their picks,” said Rutherford.
