The Pittsburgh Steelers continue to do more homework than usual on the top QB’s in the draft class. After scouting Pitt’s Nate Peterman pro-day on Wednesday, today offensive coordinator Todd Haley is in Notre Dame with a particular interest in Notre Dame QB DeShone Kizer. Kizer threw for 26 touchdowns in 2016 and has thrown for 5,809 yards and 47 TD’s over the last two seasons.
Kizer’s widely regarded as the No. 3 rated QB in the draft but it’s a QB class where there’s no sure fire No. 1 QB prospect and some view Kizer as the first or second ranked QB.
