Penguins defenseman Ron Hainsey and his agent Matt Keator are mulling over two offers as there’s confidence in the Hainsey camp he will sign quickly today.

The team with the strongest pursuit has been the Toronto Maple Leafs who have identified Hainsey as a short-term replacement for Matt Hunwick who will sign elsewhere.

Pittsburgh does not plan to try to resign Hainsey.
