Winnipeg improves to 5-0 on the season with a +15 Goal Differential. Lars Eller (4) scored twice and Kevin Hayes (3) also scored in the loss for Pittsburgh. Alex Nedeljkovic got the start and turned aside all 11-shots he faced in the first period before the dam broke in the second period. Nedeljkovic allowed 5 goals on 36 shots in his first outing of the season. Tristan Jarry was inactive as Joel Blomqvist served as the backup.
