The Pittsburgh Pirates organization has been dealt a big blow. Jameson Taillon has been diagnosed with an injury to his ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow and has elected to have Tommy John Surgery. His estimated return time in 12-18 months.
Taillon one of the organizations top pitching prospects, was looked at as a prime candidate to join the Pirates in the second half of this season. Pirate officials believed he had an opportunity to come in and have a Gerrit Cole type impact.
