Jeff Locke (9-4, 3.01 ERA) takes the mound tonight for the start of a three game series vs the Milwaukee Brewers and after an excellent first half, Locke is pitching himself out of a likely playoff rotation. He’s entering a crucial next couple of starts. Locke allowed 3 runs and walked 4 in four innings pitched against the Giants on Thursday. Locke is 0-2 with a 6.59 ERA in his past six starts and has walked 14 batters in his last 18 innings pitched. Locke, though, has been dominant against the Brewers this season, going 1-0 with a 2.25 ERA in two starts vs Milwaukee. He pitched six shutout innings vs the Brewers on May 25th. |
