Regarded at the start of the season as nothing more than just a stop-gap starter until the Pirates got healthy in the rotation, all Jeff Locke (5-1, 2.45 ERA) does is continue to prove his critics wrong. Locke pitched 6 scoreless innings Saturday afternoon vs the Milwaukee Brewers, allowing 3 hits, walking 3 and striking out 7 in the Pirates 5-2 win over the Brewers. Locke picked up the win, improving to 5-1 on the season with a 2.45 ERA and 1.14 WHIP. |
