The Pittsburgh Penguins are 3-for-20 on the man advantage through four games this season and tonight will be Kris Letang’s opportunity to work with the 1st power play unit.
The first unit set up like this during the morning skate:
Alex Goligoski playing in the middle of the ice in that “roamer role” he played in against Toronto, Chris Kunitz was in front of the net and Sidney Crosby at the half boards.
Evgeni Malkin worked the left point and Kris Letang was at the right point.
During 5-on-3 situations, the Penguins will go with a different set up.
Mike Comrie will play the “roamer” role with Chris Kunitz and Sidney Crosby down low.
Alex Goligoski will play the left point and Evgeni Malkin will move over the right point for one timer situations.
