When a player shines in practice for over three weeks, it’s likely he’s also going to standout when the lights are on. That’s been the case all camp for 3rd round pick Markus Wheaton who Steelers coaches and officials are giddy about. It’s only a matter of time before Wheaton becomes the Steelers No. 3 receiver this season and possibly their No. 2 by the end of the year. Wheaton stood out again Saturday night vs Chiefs, hauling in 3 catches for 54 yards and a touchdown. Bruce Gradkowski and Wheaton hooked up for a 34 yard touchdown in the second half. |
