Dodgers sweep Cubs
Hiroki Kuroda (9-10) in the regular season blanked the Chicago Cubs for 6 1/3 innings Saturday as the Dodgers completed a three-game sweep to advances to the NLCS. The Cubs won who 97 games fielded one of the most talented teams in recent memory but failed to get the job done. All-Stars Alfonso Soriano, Derek Lee and Aramis Ramirez struggled and the pitching staff which was among the league’s best could slow down the Dodgers bats.
The Milwaukee Brewers stayed alive as Dave Bush surrendered one run in 5 1/3 innings as the Brewers beat the Phillies 4-1. Jeff Suppan takes the mound for the Brewers today to help force a decisive 5th game. C.C. Sabathia is expected to start in Game 5 if the Brewers are able to win today

The Tampa Bay Rays will look to sweep the Chicago White Sox in Chicago this afternoon. The Rays will have righty Matt Garza (11-9) taking the mound. The Rays have been clearly the better team in this series and the White Sox will need twelve game John Danks to come up big. Danks is 3-1 with a 2.96 ERA in four career starts against the Rays, including 2-1 with a 1.86 ERA in 2008. Garza will be making his first career post season start.
Angels vs Red Sox – Sox lead series 2-0
The defending champs will look to sweep the Anaheim Angels today in Boston. Boston played perfect baseball taking the first two games in Anaheim. They got a great pitching performance from John Lester in Game 1 and newcomer Jason Bay has come up big. LA was 5-1 at Boston in the regular season but going into Boston and having to win two games force a game 5 is a monumental task
