The Pittsburgh Steelers today made a number of roster moves, activating first round pick David DeCastro from injured reserve and promoting OL John Malecki to the active roster. To make room for the two, Pittsburgh released wide receiver David Gilreath and placed right tackle Marcus Gilbert on injured reserve.
Gilbert who came into the season with high expectations, had a disappointing second season after struggling early on and suffering an ankle injury in the fifth game of the season against the Tennessee Titans.
