Pitt misses out on New Jersey Recruit
Dave Wannstedt and the University of Pittsburgh have 14 commitments for the 2010 season but none are quarterbacks.
Recruiting 5 star quaterbacks to Pitt will never happen but the program is have an extremely difficult time recruiting 3-Star quarterbacks.
Joseph Brennan, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound quarterback from Camden Catholic (Cherry Hill, N.J.), became another 3-Star recruit to pass on Pitt.
Brennan committed to Wisconsin over the weekend. He chose Wisconsin over, Pitt, Louisville, Miami-Florida, Rutgers and Stanford.
Brennan completed 58-percent of his passes as a junior for 2,438 yards and 25 touchdowns. He also rushed for 305 yards and one score. He was a long-shot for Pitt but until Pitt finds a way to start bringing in 3-Star quarterback recruits, the program may never take the next step.
Last month, the program was extremely disappointed in missing out on was quarterback Bryan Bennett who comitted to Oregon in June.
