MCCLENDON VISITS PACKERS
NT Steve McLendon visited the Green Bay Packers today and the Packers are considering an offer sheet for the Steelers projected starting nose tackle in 2013.
McLendon was given a low tender of $1.3 million and being an undrafted free agent, the Steelers would receive no compensation if McLendon were to sign with the Packers and Steelers opted not to match.
The Steelers have around $700,000 in cap space.
McLendon leaving would force the Steelers to resign Casey Hampton who was productive in the second half of the 2012 season.
