BROWN DONE FOR SEASON?
The Levi Brown experiment didn’t get past pregame warmup’s and it might end there. Brown suffered a right triceps injury during warmups and Steelers officials believe he is done for the season. An MRI is scheduled for Monday.
Brown tore the same triceps in August 2012 and was lost for the season as a member of the Arizona Cardinals.
Kelvin Beachum started at left tackle today and the job is now his to lose. “I thought he was above the line like we all were,” Tomlin said of Beachum’s play. “Today we are winners. We’ll evaluate tomorrow.”
Brown has three years left on his contract and is due $6 million next season. If he’s lost for the season, there’s no chance he will be back next season as this was going to be an audition for him.
