Washington Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery is the NHL’s Jack Adams Award Winner, becoming the first coach to earn ‘Coach of the Year’ honors in the ECHL, AHL, and NHL. With two playoff appearances in his first two seasons as Capitals head coach, Carbery’s Capitals saw a 20-point increase in 2024-2025, leading the Eastern Conference with 111 points.

Carbery blew through his competition for the award, receiving 81 of 103 first-place ballots. Jets HC Scott Arniel and Canadiens HC Marty St. Louis finished second and third in voting.
