With Trade talks heating up, three very interesting teams that the Penguins have been in trade talks with are scheduled to have scouts in attendance when the Penguins host the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday.
A look at the teams that who will be in attendance on Thursday and who they are targeting.
Scouts Alert
Dallas – 1 Scout
Tampa Bay – 1 Scout
Montreal has also reserved a seat for an representative
As mentioned a few weeks ago, the Dallas Stars have been looking heavily at Ryan Whitney. Still looking into what kind of return the Penguins would be interested in. Dallas has also been scouting Montreal lately.
Tampa Bay will be in the building for the 6th time in the Penguins last 8 home games. Adds more fuel to the fire about what I’m hearing that talks are on-going with the Lightning about (Marty. St. Louis), despite what the Tampa Bay media is claiming.
Tampa is also scouting Montreal.
Montreal was previously looking at Ryan Whitney. That can be thrown out the window now. Actively shopping Kovalev. Odd that they have reserved a seat with them playing the Penguins but so be it.
Montreal has also shown interest in Max Talbot. They remain in the market for a center but Jordan Staal hasn’t been linked to them at this point.
