Petr Sykora is off to a slow start. Keep him or trade him? Plus my weekly pickup of the week
Petr Sykora (1goal – 2 assists – 3 pts) has struggled this season. He’s the kind of player who only succeeds playing with a dynamic center. Sykora will be playing with Evgeni Malkin tonight which is a bonus but the lack of power play time is alarming. Keep him for now and see how he pans out playing with Malkin but if the power play minutes don’t increase, I would look to move Sykora. He had 15 goals on the power play last season and that is where the majority of his goals will come from
I recommend dropping Alex Goligoski. He has zero points on the power play and until those numbers increase, don’t keep him on your roster.
