Blackhawks scouting Ryan Bayda?
Quick Update on potential negotiations with Ryan Bayda. The vibe coming out of today’s practice is that the Penguins have approached Bayda’s camp about a two-way deal in the $500,000 range.
No official offer yet just “discussions” right now
His agent is believed to be working on a one-way deal elsewhere atleast that’s what’s Bayda’s camp is indicating —-likely trying to put the pressure on Pittsburgh.
Bayda was scouted by two teams last night including the Chicago Blackhawks, sources confirm to me.
Bayda has been searching for a one-way deal all summer.
Unless Pittsburgh moves a veteran forward, the Penguins don’t want to add another one-way contract. They have made that known to Bayda’s camp.
Pushkarev Updated?
The Penguins have begun talks with winger Konstantin Pushkarev who was demoted to Wilkes Barre today. We could see a deal by the weekend. Both sides appear to be open to a two way deal.
Evgeni Malkin and Pushkarev are friends and a reason he accepted a tryout here.
