IF Penguins GM Ray Shero were to pull the trigger on making a coaching change, Penguins head coach Dan Bylsma might not be out of work long.
Teams with coaching vacancy’s are suddenly watching the Penguins situation closely, though many around the league I’m told will be surprised that Shero fires Bylsma who has one year left on his contract.
One team with great intrigue for Bylsma is the New York Rangers, NHL sources say. The Rangers are looking to become a more offensive team and seek a players coach. League chatter is Bylsma will become a strong candidate for the job were he to be let loose by the Penguins.
