PENGUINS BEAT ISLANDERS 5-4 IN OT
Sidney Crosby drew a Brian Strait holding penalty 8:11 into overtime and then setup Chris Kunitz in the slot for a power play goal at 8:44 of overtime as the Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the New York Islanders 5-4 in overtime on Sunday afternoon in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals series.
The Penguins blew a 4-2 third period lead and were outplayed for much of the game at even strength, but escaped in Game 3 due to special teams where the Penguins went 3 for 5 on the power play, getting two power play goals from Chris Kunitz and a power play marker from Jarome Iginla.
Sidney Crosby had three assists in the win.
Pittsburgh leads series, 2-1.
